Parents are the most important part of a child’s education. Many parents in HUSD need help and support. We have many single parent families and low income families. They are struggling to make ends meet and go from one crises to another. I would propose seeking grant money to establish a Parent Education Institute It would be a physical location open every day. Parents would be able to get support to help them deal with raising their children. Besides providing parenting classes, the Institute would provide counseling, support groups, and tutoring.
