Variety within the Curriculum
The arts, vocational education, college prep, etc. needs to be offered in all schools and at all levels.
Teachers need to understand students different learning styles and provide classroom instruction which address these different styles.
Students have different interests and learn in a variety of ways. The District needs to provide a variety in the curriculum to tweak student’s interests.
All of these different curriculums need to have a strong component of reading, writing and math.
As a Board member, I will work to increase the variety of courses available to all students and incorporate a variety of subjects into the curriculum. I will also work to insure teachers are using different learning styles in their classrooms
